Palmerston North - UCOL Library - Noodles Promotion - this is our sister institution. It is actually south of Wanganui but called Palmerston North because it is the city on the North Island to distinguish from a city of the same name on the South Island. They have a really welcoming entrance and students love the library. I was part of a Lunch Box noodles promotion that included students using the online catalogue to win an iPod shuffle. The man with his arms up in the air created a lot of joie de vivre and was from the 90.6 ZM radio station in Palmerston North. The UCOL Library has done an excellent job branding itself. They created a logo "library start here" and it is on all publications, flyers, t-shirts and colouring schemes. Also they have an area at the front of the library that opens up with power points so that hot water and noodles can make 72 meals quickly.
